Public beach, Odesa
The task was to develop a beach layout with several zones: a high-comfort zone with a swimming pool, a restaurant zone, a bar zone, a playground, photo zones and a large zone with standard sunbeds. The space had to provide for summer cinema events, so we proposed to place a large screen in the center of one side of the territory.
It was also very important to make the bar structure completely collapsible, and the client insisted on using wooden firewood in the partitions between the zones in the bar as a decorative element. We designed a collapsible metal frame of the bar and removable panels of wood and metal on rails as a decoration - and covered the structure with a tent on fasteners.
In the aesthetic solution, I proposed to use burgundy as a basis, with a reference to the Moroccan style, to paint the wall that serves as a background and separates the beach from the pedestrian zone, and the low-slung furniture on the sand and vintage details inherent in this style. For lighting, i decided to custom-make low street lamps and a simple garland for atmospheric effect.
