Multifunctional space, Kyiv
The spatial layout and visual design of this multifunctional space in Kyiv - which includes an art shop, a gallery, a café, a bar, a bookstore, and a vinyl shop - were carefully planned. The conceptual vision for the space’s design was developed in collaboration with the studio’s team.
The space is located in a building constructed in the modernism style of the 1960s. We sought to preserve this style in the design, allowing the functional aspect to remain the dominant feature of the interior. We aimed to create a cohesive, fluid space, so there are open passages between the zones. The spaces are divided into an “active” zone - the gallery and bar - and a “quiet” zone with a more subdued atmosphere - the café, library, and vinyl store.
